Title says it all. It's fresh, classic yet modern. It's timeless barbershop fragrance that's slightly sporty compared to the original Gravitas. I've purchased from here 3 times and will continue to support this company. All of them are amazing fragrances, so I don't have a favorite, but this Gravitas flanker is awesome for the spring and even summer.
This is a more classic take on the modern freshie. It opens up very citrusy, with some fruitiness. Watermelon isn’t necessarily photorealistic, but there is a hint of something refreshing and slightly sweet. The base has what I would describe as a green woodiness. In fact, the green woods and sweetness in the heart create something one could describe as floral. Longevity on bare skin is about 6 hours, after which you get a skin scent that won’t project much. On skin that is in contact with clothing, longevity increases well into the 8-10 hour range. I would say this reminds me of Gravitas pour homme, but without musk, more fruity sweetness and A LOT of citrus. It’s a great scent with high quality and amazing value. If you like freshies, this would make a great addition, without being redundant or generic.
I love a good barbershop fragrance. Plus this one has something special and has a sophisticated feel while also giving a classic vibe. It also has a great dry down and lasts a long time on clothing giving off great projection.
I bought Gravitas Pour homme as a present for my father after reading the good reviews. I will update after Christmas. Service was very good.
Another banger from N&W. Top shelf service and delivery. Thank you
Imagine yourself in evening dress, sipping on a negroni cocktail. If you love its scent profile you can either douse yourself in the drink or purchase this lovely perfume. My bets are on the perfume, since it'll last you much longer!
Gravitas smells different and original to me and can be held in the same company as Penhaligons Sartorial or the current version of the original Givenchy Gentleman. Chypre Fulminare isn't disgraced by comparison or company with Chanel Antaeus say, and Gravitas Essentia I will evaluate more in warmer weather. Overall all very good and I'm pleased with my purchase
Really enjoy the old school vibe, but the fresh smell of this cologne. Great scent for the refined gentlemen
I was happy to purchase a second backup bottle of Gravitas especially as it is currently on offer for a good price. I'm not a fragrance expert by any means but I know what I like and I originally purchased a bottle due to watching Mr Smellys you tube chanel and have followed some successful suggestions as my taste is similar, maybe its my age (just into my 50's). You get a tastefully created lasting fragrance here that does slightly remind me of Houbigant fougere royal but more easy to wear. What's more telling is my autistic daughter who has sensory issues and is sensitive to smells far prefers Gravitas to anything else compared even with fougere royal. I will purchase another when needed and I recommend it to others. Also, I like to support British brands and this one is a hit with me. Keep up the good work.
Always a pleasure to wear, a fine, clean, inoffensive scent, perfect for the office or business meeting! Can be worn at any time of the year. Love it!
This is my favorite fougere I’ve personally tried. It has a nice dose of lavender and dries down to a warm almost sweet musky/woody base. The base is slightly dark and sensual. Definitely masculine. May not appeal as much to those that really want a high dose if lavender. Reminds me of Beau de Jour and Fougere d’Argent in the sense that it does smell classic without smelling dated and with less lavender. Other fougeres like Rive Gauche are on the older side of the scale. There are some green facets, but these are not very prominent. I personally hate animalic qualities (civet, castoreum), and there is nothing particularly animalic or funky, so this is going to be fairly easy to wear and not very challenging except to noses that are used to the clean fruity designer frags which I like too. Certainly of high quality and not just a great value, but one of the best in the genre you can buy at any price point. I’d take this over Fougere d’Argent in a heartbeat if price was the only factor, and I wouldn’t feel that I was losing on quality. Blind buy worthy if you are a fan of the fougere genre. Also, this lasts all day if I spray myself twice underneath my shirt. Good whiffs well into the 10+ hr range, but probably not a beastmode frag compared to other classic beasts i.e. Aventus clones.
Smells very nice, not an aggressive fragrance, lasts a couple hours before it reduce to a skin scent. Not a scent that announces your presence, but something that can be appreciated by those who are invited to get close enough. A niche recipe that does not suggest synthetics or fashion designer fragrances. I like it, but it seems to be somewhat conservative, and I often prefer something more bold and spicy. Not sure why, but I like this brand, and am considering a blind buy of their Chypre recipe.
